Alberta's of Corning Inc. was founded in 1927 by Alberta and Tony Fratarcangelo, AJ's parents. The AJ's brand started in 1980. They are committed to servicing the needs of people in our communities. AJ has been enjoying the industry for over 40 years. Though his specialty is designing a cut and style for his clients which has been his mainstay for years, AJ still consults with hundreds of clients a year to help create the perfect color to compliment the salons clients. His experience with hair and makeup is from the salon, TV, runway, editorial and education.
Born in the state of Washington and raised in Alaska, Therese grew up in the beauty industry with award-winning stylists, including two Vidal Sassoon educators and proteges, as her teachers. She attended Glen Dow Academy and the University of Alaska. Therese has been a licensed stylist since 1984, and has been a creative asset to AJ's Hair and Make-Up for over sixteen years. In 1989 Therese was the only U.S. hair stylist to be awarded a scholarship to study hair professionally in Germany. She is a certified educator for Nexus, wella, Schwartzkopf, and Farouk Systems, along with experience as a platform artist and an education director for both the Regis and Wella Corporations. A creative and passionate stylist who is known for her elegant evening and formal hair styles, Therese also loves color correction and styling long, curly locks. When Therese doesn't have her hands full of hair, she enjoys riding horses and being outdoors.
